Course Certification and Review Process
CSU Online Course Services has established a process for “Formal Course Review Certifications” of fully online and hybrid courses across the 23-campus system. Course certifications are conducted using the CSU Quality Learning & Teaching (QLT) Rubric or the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric.
Course Review and Certification Process
The course review and certification process is a four stage process. Certification is possible when the reviewed course earns at least 85% of all possible points and meets all core/essential standards in the rubric being applied (QLT or QM).
Application for Course Certification
Apply for a formal CSU course certification review (can only be submitted by a campus Quality Assurance Administrator/QA Faculty Lead); interested faculty/lecturers should express their interest with their Campus Quality Assurance Administrator and/or Faculty Lead.
CSU Certified Online Courses
A CSU Quality Assurance Certified course provides assurance that the fully online or hybrid course has been developed and delivered with all components necessary to enable student success in meeting their educational goals. View the list of formally certified CSU fully online and hybrid courses.
